The Need for Adult Education
Education is a learning to develop our skills based on our interests. Education, which is the light of life and a person’s wealth, must be given to all whether they are young or adult. The education given to adult or old people, who couldn’t get education when they were young, is called adult education. It is also for those children who are unable to go to school.
In the poor and developing countries, people remain uneducated because of poverty. They are not only deprived of school or college education but also deprived of pre-primary education. Therefore, they even do not know to read and write. The age can never be a blockade for learning. So these illiterate people must be given education in their suitable time. As they are much more experienced, they learn many things in no time.
Similarly the system of education gets changed because of scientific invention and new technology. Whether people are highly educated or qualified, they also need adult education. For example, a person who had passed master degree fifty years ago needs computer education now. To learn new things is education and education is for all age group people.
On the whole, adult education is very important because it keeps adults up to date, improves job prospects and brings new interests. Besides, they can learn many worlds’ current events in the classroom through discussion. This will help to broaden their horizon and their way of thinking and makes them able to adapt with the demands of the changing world.
